Doryani bugged in Eastern Enigma Chamber

After defeating Doryani there was some persistent effect that then killed me after I clicked on the "Return to the Ancient Enigma" portal. When I return to the chamber, Doryani is sitting hilariously on his broken machine but I can't touch him or progress.
