Unfair punishment for crashes/disconnections on Atlas Node Modifiers

On June 2 2026 there seems to be terrible server errors in the London EU region, causing me to frequently disconnect at random every few nodes (which was annoying, but manageable).

Eventually I reached a node containing many different strongboxes (the node had a special modifier) and thus I used one of my better waystones to amplify the loot. I got into the map, cleared the entire area of any ambient hostiles and went to the Ziggurat Refuge to get additional scrolls of wisdom, orbs of augmentation, transmutation, etc to boost the quality of the loot that was inside the boxes, but the "Operation Timed Out" and thus I was booted to the login screen. When I logged back in I was at the Ziggurat Refuge, but my waystone was gone and the modifier for the map was also gone and thus I missed out on a potentially great haul of loot not because of a skill issue, but simply because of terrible luck.

When my game hard crashes, as soon as I log back in, I am pretty much right where I crashed, so it is not much of a bother as I do not lose anything except time. This time though, I got disconnected, and got punished as if I died or quit of my own volition as I got none of the loot since the game reset me to the inventory I had when I opened the portal to the node. Thus losing the waystone. and the map classified itself as attempted thus losing the modifier. I think there should be no punishment for disconnecting due to server issues, especially for solo players as there would not be a way for them to exploit it. I think it could be resolved by changing the save to be as you open the Atlas Map and not when you select a node in the atlas map, thus if there is a disconnection from an Operation Timeout or such, nothing is lost except time as I could just restart the node again without punishment.
