Huntress Lightning Spear freezing, and closing game.

My friend is on Xbox and he joined my game, as soon as he uses the lightning Spear. New spell that puts two pillars of lightning and then he uses the electric runes on the floor, and then stromlance on ground and then he lastly throws spears until enemies die but it freezes when he releases a few spears and it just kicks us out of the game completely. His characters name on Xbox is Zena8675309, so (Zena------), we are trying to play this character to get to the beast tamer new stuff to get bosses, but it doesn't allow us to play.

For me when I logged back in the game, I spawned where I left off, for him it starts him from the waypoint of the map.

The Skill he is using is Voltaic Barrier; he removed it and the game works fine. It's a new skill from the list of the runes.
