Hollow form technique bug?

So I'm messing around with the hollow form skill and wanted to run a warrior skill in the hollow form which works BUT i have to unequip all my quarterstaff skills to even equip a hammer in weapon set 2. im running hollow palm, and want to run a hammer for weapons set 2.
