Bug Report — Plaguefinger Gauze Wraps (Vaal Cultivation Orb Issue)

I would like to inquire whether this item has a bug.

In Season 0.5, the unique item ‌Plaguefinger Gauze Wraps‌ received a new modifier: "Cannot inflict Elemental Ailments." After testing, I have found that this modifier cannot be properly replaced with other modifiers using a ‌Vaal Cultivation Orb‌.

Could you please clarify whether this is an intended interaction or a bug?
