PoE2 0.5 Runeforging bugs: incorrect previews, invisibly disabled runes (Bug Report ID: #363003802)

Two issues with low ilvl runeforging of iron-rune-socketed armours in PoE2 Aldur league: one small issue and one large issue. These issues are illustrated by screenshots, but it doesn't seem like the screenshots can be uploaded on this forum. If possible, please refer to the 3 screenshots viewable in this reddit post: https://www.reddit.com/r/PathOfExile2/comments/1tu2gbv/runeforging_problems_incorrect_previews_and/ .

Small issue #1 short explanation: Runeforging preview of a low ilvl item with an iron rune in it says the item will lose defenses when runeforged. Runeforging produces an item whose defenses appear unreduced.

Small issue #1 long explanation: When runeforging a low ilvl item with an iron rune attached, the runeforging window reports that the item will lose defenses, but the final item appears to have full defenses. See image one: top left, the original unreforged item. Top right, the runeforging preview says it will lose 2 defenses. Bottom right, the final runeforged item appears not to have lost any defenses. This illustrates a discrepancy between the preview and the outcome. (Also the item name changed in a way that the preview did not say it would, but I don't know if anyone cares about that.)

Large issue #2 short explanation: Runeforging an ilvl40 ES chest with 2 iron runes in it produced an item that claims to have the same total ES as the original item, but actually grants less ES when equipped. Replacing a greater iron rune with a normal iron rune then lowered the item's tooltip ES (expected), but raised the character's total ES back to what it was supposed to be with the rune bonus applied (unexpected). So, runeforging actually disabled the iron runes (without updating the item tooltip ES), and replacing a rune reactivated them.

Large issue #2 long explanation: The in-game runeforging information tooltip claims that below level 54, armour will NOT lose defences when runeforged. After observing that previews could be wrong in issue #1, I runeforged my ilvl40 285ES 2-greater-iron-rune chest. The preview said it would lose about 1/3 of its ES (see image 2 for the runeforging preview), but trusting the tooltip and the earlier experiment and player advice, I runeforged anyway. See image 3: the final produced item claims to still have 285 ES. However, compare my character ES total in screenshot 1 (1309) to my character ES total in screenshot 3 (1160): runeforging the item actually DID cause the item to lose ES, but in a way that is not reflected in the displayed stats of the item! Finally, hoping that the problem was with the runes, I replaced a socketed greater iron rune with a normal iron rune. The item tooltip ES dropped from 285 to 282: expected. But my character final ES ROSE from 1160 back to 1301, indicating that the 'lost' iron rune bonuses were regained by replacing one of the runes with another (inferior) rune. I don't know whether other runes get 'secretly disabled' by runeforging in the same way, or if only iron runes are affected.

So, overall, there are multiple bad interactions right now with the runeforging of iron-rune-socketed gear.
