Lag spikes makes the game unplayable for me

Hi,

I’m experiencing massive lag spikes that shoot up to extremely high values, only to drop back to normal ms levels a moment later, and then do the same thing again a second later. This makes the game unplayable. I’ve tried everything – restarting the game, switching servers, changing Wi-Fi networks, playing via a ethernet – but nothing has helped. To make matters worse, this doesn’t happen on all maps. It’s worst in Act 4, where I can’t even move for a good few seconds, only for everything to speed up a moment later, trying to catch up with what I was doing during that lag.

Can you help me? My internet connection, whilst not the best, is stable; in speed tests, download speeds are around 50–60 MB/s, whilst upload speeds are around 30 MB/s. These are speeds that should easily allow me to play PoE2. Strangely enough, I don’t have this problem in any other games.

I should also mention that I’m playing on a PlayStation 5, so options like disabling the firewall, clearing the cache, or anything related to Steam are out of the question.

Well today I have same issue, same as thousands of players that GGG dont want to hear.

Everything was perfect in weekend, today after I loged in I was able to play normally for hour or so, then i have like network 18000ms when my intenet working just fine .

This issue is making game simply unplayable - game I paid for.



What we are lacking since lauch is ANY statement from GGG with problem acknowledgment. We only have unoffical workarounds from reddit or this forum.

I can help test things, I can send logs, I can check proposed solutions. Sadly I need someone from GGG side to have genuine willingness to help.

Yeah, it's pain in the a**... They never said anything about it, even though many people have problems like this. I get it, if this would happen in any other game, but it only appears in PoE, so it must be the server issue / losing packets. I guess the game will be unplayable for me in specific hours :)
