PC Shut Down Randomly
|
When randomly playing my computer will just power off. No errors or anything. It happens the most in dreadnought and now its happening to me in the jungle. This reddit thread has multiple other people with the same issue.
https://www.reddit.com/r/PathOfExile2/comments/1tryrfs/poe2_crashes_my_whole_setup_and_force_my_pc_to/ I would love to play but I dont want to damage my computer so please let me know what I can do asap! Last bumped on Jun 2, 2026, 12:59:54 PM

Same issue here — full power-off, no BSOD, only Kernel-Power 41 in Event Viewer (which just confirms an abrupt shutdown, not the cause). Happens randomly, not tied to any specific zone. Running on Vulkan.
Hardware — all verified clean: HWiNFO64 logging over a full session: GPU max 61°C, CPU 81°C, VRM 47°C, +12V steady at 12.0V. No throttling, no voltage sag. UserDiag report: 0 WHEA errors, stable PSU rail, healthy RAM, no faults. PSU is a Corsair RM750e. Software fix tried: Set CPU affinity via Process Lasso (removed core 0 and 1), since the game can spike to 100% on all threads. Result: still crashing. Hardware is verified healthy and no other game (BG3, RDR2…) does this — it's PoE2-specific. Looks like an engine/threading bug GGG needs to address. Specs: Ryzen 7 7800X3D / RX 9070 XT / 32GB DDR5 / Corsair RM750e Last edited by hypnod#0997 on Jun 1, 2026, 3:59:58 PM

Same here. My PC reboots when ever I try and open the world map in end game. I'm running a AMD Ryzen 9 7900 12-Core Processor (3.70 GHz) for my CPU and a AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT (20 GB) for my graphics card.

Same issue on a Ryzen 7800X3D with 4080 850 Watt PSU.
As far as I can see it only happens with Vulkan. Total PC shut down, not a crash where windows would restart but "PC is now off" crash. Event viewer is the same one as from the post above. No other game or a stress test does this, definitely issue with the game. |

Same issue on a Ryzen 9800X3D with 5070Ti 1000 Watt PSU.
Game randomly spikes the CPU from being utilized at 60% to 100% and with that the CPU heat also goes almost in instant to 95°C degree and PC just crashes and reboots And no This is not a HW issue , this is a game issue , acknowledge the issue and fix it |

Up. Crashed hard on Act 4 on entering Journey's End, game clearly struggled loading assets on entering the map. Also windows actually struggled on reboot for whatever reason, I'm kind of afraid to launch the game now. Saw similar complaints on reddit as well. Hope this gets looked at.

Same problem with a 9950x3d and rx 6900xt, 64gb ram, 1000 watt PSU, I played completely fine the 1st day then there was a patch of some kind and my PC just kept crashing completely and restarting itself, However I did notice I could make it not crash by unticking engine multithreading, problem is running it off 1 core is horrible for performance.
