"Powerful map boss" maps cannot be completed if you die to the boss with bonus objectives

I have only experienced this in powerful map boss areas but havent died to normal map bosses so im unsure.

But currently if there is an objective to kill a powerful map boss along with another objective like "open the breach" or "activate the vaal beacons", dying to the map boss will as it has for a while, delete everything in the entire map. including the bonus objective. rendring the map unable to be completed.
