long/infinite cog spinning and loading after interacting with npc in endgame (ps5)

When the NPC goes to show you a the next location on the atlas to progress their quest. I have been getting extremely long load times if 5 minuets plus, sometimes infinite causing me to have to relaunch the game and workout where on the atlas they wanted me to go.
This is making me want to avoid all interactions with the NPC's but I know its essential for endgame progression and potential juicing.
