Charged Staff + Facebreaker Fists of Stone + Hallow Palm Technique

So I'm using this 3 in combo but Charged staff is not activating while Facebreakers are equiped.

They take the mana-cost but does not provide the buff. Probably due to some interraction with unarmed being both quarterstaff and mace.
