Dezzic Soldier AI turning off constantly

My Dezzic Soldier Tame Beast Companion keeps having its AI turn off and just standing still not following me or attacking or anything, all it can do is catch up via teleporting.

This doesn't happen if I remain idle, but it does if I keep moving and fighting enemies.
