In-map Expedition Verisium might sometimes be bugged?

I encountered an expedition encounter in-map and it had a 7-rune (or something, I can't recall because I was too excited) verisium outcrop that gave me the choice of 1, 2, or 3 divine orbs. I just had to complete the expedition. After triple checking that the explosive is pretty much on top of the verisium, I started the expedition. But then the verisium did nothing. Which was weird, because the other verisium in the same encounter exploded properly. Has this happened to anyone else? Byebye 3 divs, I guess. This was on a T8 map. I also didn't get the challenge completion for it.

That same thing happened to me. It wouldn't let me do the verisium encounter that was on top of the expedition. So I did the expedition then nothing happened and I still wasn't able to attempt the verisium encounter. It was the choice of 1, 2, or 3 divine orbs. I thought I might of needed to do the expedition first but that didn't do anything and I still wasn't able to even attempt the verisium encounter. I didn't do any of the verisium encounters either, it was the first one I saw in the map.
