Game Crash when using Trarthan Cannon

I tried to switch my crossbow from Blackfire Crossbow to Trarthan Cannon while my current crossbow is loading explosive shot. After I switched, my hotkey for attack is still showing explosive shot instead of the default grenade from the Trarthan Cannon.
When I tried to attack, the game crashed. Server shows unexpected error and I got disconnected.

The same happens to me. I tried equipping and firing one in a map, it crashed the game to the main menu. When I logged back in I had lost all items I had picked up in the map, any experience gained, and the waystone for the map. When I ran the map again, there was no extra content, as if I had failed the map.
