Question about Rathbreaker

Hi.

I'm playing my first minion build and I was wondering if Rathbreaker gets any special benefits from the skill tree like hazard damage for his special attack or should I just focus on finding minion/companion damage mods. Also, do companions get benefits from things like cooldown reduction and skill speed?

It only work when it's specified "Minion" - and "Companion" in this case. So no, it wouldn't work.
