Dead economy and crafting since 0.5
|
We ended up with what is arguably the worst-case scenario for crafting and the economy following the second Vaal league merge and the crafting restrictions introduced in 0.4.
What happened is that when the second Vaal league merged into Standard, many of the best items in Standard were bought out by wealthy players from Vaal. Because these items can no longer be recreated due to the +level limitations and the current crafting system, their owners now effectively have an infinite money-printing machine: they can mirror these items and sell mirror copies for massive profit. On top of that, while looking for an Ascendancy carry, I found a player offering the service for free if people joined their Discord server. In that Discord, they were openly selling both items and currency for real money. As someone who only started playing Standard after the launch of 0.4, this is extremely discouraging. It feels like newer Standard players have no realistic way to compete with legacy items that can no longer be crafted. GGG, please consider bringing back the previous crafting system, or at least re-evaluating the current crafting restrictions. Also, investing in better analytics to identify suspicious trades and combat real-money trading would go a long way toward improving the health of the economy. I love this game, but it's so depressing right now. Last bumped on May 30, 2026, 12:49:19 PM

You are playing an Early Acces Version of the game, so it would be wise to not get attached to anything related the game mechanics, because it is highly likely that they will change periodically.
On top of that, the game is meant to and balanced around being played in temporary leagues. Last edited by Strickl3r#3809 on May 30, 2026, 9:36:09 AM
