Early Access Discussion - Predator's Mark should be accessible outside of Pounce, or there should be a new minion mark - Forum

Spirit Walker Companions is looking extremely interesting to build around, especially with all the new nodes that promote a "hybrid playstyle". A build where your minions are the main source of single target damage while you yourself clear white and magic mobs with a spear skill sounds awesome.

This would be the perfect scenario to use the Weapon Set system from the trees. Weapon Set 1 to have some points to boost your own damage while clearing, Weapon Set 2 to fully focus on your minions for rares and bosses. However, Pounce is such a strong damage multiplier, especially considering that the new scepter also gets increased damage vs marked targets. Playing without a Talisman on the 2nd weapon set just sounds extremely troll.

In an ideal world, I'd love to just use spear + sceptre and press X whenever I need a boost of single target damage. Starting out I could use the exact same items on both sets, super endgame there are a lot of fun options such as using a palm of the dreamer on your clearing setup and a proper minion sceptre on your single target setup, but the amount of damage that we lose for not using Pounce makes it super hard to justify doing this.

Sceptre + Talisman is viable using the From Nothing Jewel with Zealots Oath you can actually get Lord of the Wilds with the Spirit Walker without traveling to the opposite side of the passive tree. Companions are % based and you get enough reductions in reservation that it seems to be workable. Especially with the changes to trusted kinship, Talisman damage is significantly higher than spear so The Cathas Balance will benefit a lot more from them.

Wolf Pack + Boss Companion + Bear. Wolf Form for CC/Trash Clear, getting lots of exceptional items for 2-3 sockets and stacking idols to get the spirit reservation reduction and the companion damage increaeses from Idolatry, Darkness Enthroned works well here as well. The damage increases being applied to yourself via Inspiring Ally.
