Can we use the new unique legacy runes in the martial artist's rune slots?

I was looking through the uniques that you can use with aldurs legacy and I was wondering if its possible to socket the runes you get from aldurs legacy into the rune slots you get with the "Runic Meridians" ascendancy node. And does the limit of 1 for legacy runes mean you can only have one legacy rune or only one legacy rune of that type.

Unclear on the limit. Could go either way but I'm assuming only 1 total "Legacy" tube in your gear so far.
