GOT BANNED WITHOUT PLAYING POE2

The magic of this game, got banned without playing it for more than 1 year. I wanted to get back to the game since it seems It will get a big update and for my surprise, I GOT BANNED without playing the game.
Support says they can't unban. The funny thing (not for me ofc) they suggest me to create a new account, oh boy, yes, and purchase the game again. Last bumped on May 26, 2026, 3:06:10 PM

In order to appeal a ban that has been placed on your account, you will need to log into that account on the Path of Exile website and go to your account profile. On that page there will be an option to appeal your ban, in the sidebar on the right side of the page.
If you have not done so already, please submit your ban appeal on the website and it will be reviewed by a senior member of staff as soon as possible. Once an appeal has been processed, it is not possible to appeal a second time. Last edited by Drew_GGG#0000 on May 26, 2026, 10:24:28 AM

I said i got an answer from the support team and They say they cannot unban me because I've not respected the terms of use. Didn't know, that not playing the game was on the rules... |

It's possible your account was hacked and used to run a bot while you weren't playing. Unfortunately, even if that was the case, GGG appears unwilling to attempt to differentiate between people having their account hacked by/for a botter and someone who botted intentionally falsely claiming to be hacked after being caught.
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, weighing all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful? |

The post is difficult to follow, truth be told.
So you played the game in the past more than a year ago? And then you got banned at some point in the past, and only noticed when you next went to log in and play? You present the two as somehow being mutually exclusive, but I'm not seeing the contradiction. GGG do not offer first-party Technical Support.
