Huntress Start without weapon drop

Started a huntress in the standard league, but cannot continue to the first camp with Renly due to no weapons drop in the first area you wake up in. The first chest is empty. I cannot beat that first boss unarmed as a new player.

Are you sure you don't have a (bad) filter on that simply doesn't show the item?
