Best Male Class for Contagion

As in title.

I do understand that Witch is the "go to" class for playing Contagion but I'm one of those who like to play as male characters.

Which male class would be best for 0.5?

And if You have any tips I would appreciate it.

I will be playing SSF and would like to go right into the Contagion skill.


P.S. I don't care about it being 100% optimal

I would say either Druid (Oracle for the +1 Dark Effigy Totem and those "hidden" nodes in the passive tree or Shaman for the Spell Damage/Rage and Elemental resist) or Titan Warrior (because Hulking Form is that good).

Gemling Mercenary also have some benefice but because his starting point is so far away from any Spell/Chaos damage boost I don't think it's worth it. Chaluya Monk can gain a ton of Extra damage as Chaos but they don't work on the DoT part of Chaos spells if I recall correctly.
