Ritual boss rush is antithetical to the original game direction

I wanted to refund the game when I saw that in the latest trailer.

You originally promised a slower more deliberate game and now you expect us to dodge 7 bosses at the same time which is obviously impossible. This is a spit in the face of the original supporters.

At the very least they should spawn one after the other. The current mechanic is just plain stupid and everybody knows it.

And to all the people saying just don't do the mechanic - the mere existence of this mechanic in the game is proof that the developers have stopped caring. There should never be a point in the game where you're expected to just one-shot all the bosses before they do any mechanics.

Before that they originally promised two campaigns with the same end game.

Also they do spawn staggered. If you take forever to kill them they can ask be up at once, but if you kill them quickly you desk with one at a time.

I 100% agree

The only thing this kind of change does is make you feel bad for not taking down bosses in under 5 seconds

So much wasted mechanics and time developing these bosses and for what?

I remember how my first Arbiter of Ash fight was a complete joke, and at the time there was streamers saying stuff like "boss fights are the best part about poe 2, every map should have a boss fight"

I don't want bosses to be impossible, but they're making them super boring to fight, because waiting for their little introduction takes longer than actually defeating them
Mark is the one supposedly designing the bosses. He has expressed, multiple times, the desire for bossfights where the player gets to experience all the mechanics of the particular boss. And now he seems eager to announce 7 bosses on the same screen. Add to that the fact that he claims the new boss pet skill is "his favourite", I am left to wonder what exactly caused this change of heart. This is not good boss design, this is screen clutter that demands insane player damage, like a frightened man in the dark waving his arms around in the hopes to deter or harm whatever may come his way. In other words, this is PoE1.
Up to 6 bosses at once in a tiny little area. Such meaningful combat. Much wows.
I see you’ve completely gone towards turning this game into yet another glorified bubble wrap pop fest for your no life loser streamers and their brainless followers.
I made a similar thread like this a few days ago. Since then, GGG did an interview. I'll let Mark and John talk about it themselves. In short, they're working on it.

If I remember interview correctly it wont be 7 bosses at the same time.

First spawns, little later 2n and you wont get 3rd untill you deal with 1st or 2nd.
I don't think it works like that. I think they just spawn on a delay. That is a good idea though, only let two be spawned at any given time.
Every league it feels more like they're just turning PoE2 into PoE1 but with less content.
I was wrong to claim that Mark made the announcement, turns out it was Jonathan. We're shown 5 bosses at once. See for yourselves:

Ritual looks terrible even without the bosses, by far the most cluttered gameplay available. All the tornado/wave/chaos bomb effects need to go. Sometimes arenas also feel incredibly small for the number/size of enemies. How can one be so satisfied with this gameplay to the point that multiple segments are included in the content reveal?

My guess is they don't want the player-chasing effects removed because without them ritual fights don't feel special enough. Still, the game is better off without them. I'm sure something else could be thought of to make ritual fights recognisable.
