Enough is enough just release version 1.0 of this game already

It has been two years already please release the game as version 1.0 instead of keeping it in Early Access indefinitely. If you intend to continue development, you can very well do so through post-launch updates and ongoing support. There is no need to prolong the Early Access period merely because bundle sales continue to generate revenue; doing so risks exploiting the community’s expectations, enthusiasm, and loyalty.

You are facing a formidable competitor in Diablo IV. At a time when Blizzard is increasingly perceived as treating people not as individuals and players, but merely as wallets, this is the perfect opportunity to officially launch your game. Delaying the release any further will only cause players to gradually lose interest and disengage from the project.Too much coyness can kill attraction.

It should only take one second to look at PoE 2 and see it's not ready for non-beta status. Half the weapons aren't in the game yet. News alert, video games take years to a decade to make, particularly if you want to make them well.

No reason to do that when they already explained that they will be doing so after Exilcon in November but before the end of the year. We effectively have December as a release date. It's not your place to tell the devs when to release their game or what state it is in. GGG has a track record of success for a reason and it's because they understand game development better than most, but especially someone too emotional, such as yourself.

D4 is also not a competitor. While it is an Arpg, it targets a different audience. While there may be some overlap, it will have little no no impact on the player count for PoE2. The reveal had over 400k on Twitch and player interest for the game is very high right now, as you can see going into any stream, talking with the community and doing even the smallest amount of research.

There is no rush at the end of the day and delivering a more complete product is what they are aiming for and it's the best decision. Releasing a game too early can cause irreversible harm to the title. Most games never recover from a bad launch, with the odd cases out being something like NMS or Cyberpunk 2077. Releasing too early, as we have seen plenty of times, is only asking for more problems and will ultimately cost you more players over time.

Hopefully you are able to step back and see from both a business perspective, as well as a fan of the game, how releasing too early is a bad decision. If you can't you prob aren't being rational, nor are you going to be around long term, as there will always be league delays at times that test your patience. GGG is prob the best at realizing this, however, and never rushes to make a small minority of the players base like you happy, at the cost of the state of the game itself.

Just my observations as someone who is a retired businesses owner, as well as played PoE since 2012.

I don't see how the game being 1.0 vs 0.5 makes a difference really? We're getting challenges this league so unless I'm missing something I don't see what shifting the number forward would add. If anything it would probably just upset a lot of players who are expecting more weapons, ascendancies, and another class among other content to be added to the game by 1.0.

POE2 had 42k viewers on twitch just waiting for the latest patch notes reveal while D4 had 9.5k viewers and they released their big expansion less than one month ago. Let that sink in

OP is OCD locked on a version number, such behavior have no credibility. 0.5 could be 1.0, it's just numbers. Why would you mention D4? that game is a failure for true ARPG fans, it's literally made for another geographic.
