PoE networking questions

We were talking about death recap in our discord server, and there was an idea about using client-side info about events to ease the server load for death recap. My stance was that in PoE everything meaningful is always calculated on the server, and client gets only end states of entities. Even in predictive mode only projectiles, skill animations and player movement is predicted on client, and all kinds of damage calculations never happen off server. To which I was told that it is too much data to send between server and client to update all monsters and such.

Is there any open information about how much is calculated on the client, if any?

And while we're on it, what's the current stance on death recap? Chinese servers have it, but 5 years ago Chris said on reddit that it is not viable on global server.

The current state was never that it wasn't viable, it was more a case of they need it to be incredibly accurate which is then countered by players making dumb assumptions on what killed them based off that info, not taking into account the multiple other factors effecting the player or the monsters.

I mean people are still killing themselves with caustic flasks FFS.
