Defense on passive tree

Im a casual so im probably making a tonne of “mistakes”. Particularly, I heard Jonathan say in an interview that picking defensive nodes on the tree early in the campaign is a noob trap.
That makes me think: why don’t you move those nodes further out from the centre? I understand currently you let users think “do I want offenses or defenses”, but if one is straight up worse then that’s only a consideration the first time. Instead, if you move a wider variety of offensive nodes to the middle, now people actually need to choose left or right depending on what kind of character they want to make Last bumped on May 24, 2026, 1:05:17 AM
