Chronomancer buff isn’t actually a buff

Nearly all the power fantasy of chrono comes from the abilities, all 8 points just to get the Time snap, Time Freeze and Footprints plus a little bit of Tankiness isn’t actually that viable compared to other ascensions still.

As a suggestion considering we are role playing as a master of time, what if chrono’s unique perk was for 2 or maybe four of our ascendancy points to apply our weapon set. Thematically it would fit with the theme, practically it wouldn’t force players to spend all 8 points to gain abilities which aren’t necessarily all the powerful (with the exception of time freeze) but are a lot of fun. :)

I think half the issue is that chrono ascendancies don't fit the spells/abilities we have access to, so it won't matter what they change it will never fit. Even inevitable agony which is ment to be a "chrono" spell is rubbish, the rework arguably makes it even worse (will need testing).

As a chrono you have to play with stormweaver spells and interactions without the benefits. Imo the direction should be to remove the remnant interactions from spells and the tree, put them on the stormweaver and give us reworked spells that can stand on there own.
