Bloodmage idea

We are all aware that bloodmage rules .

Have you ever tried ascending bloodmage at 23? Lol. It was wild how I found myself dying to casting vs jaman.. because of the class. I inspected and got thru. But it was interesting

Then you look at the class and it's Crit based.. Crits are more endgame mechanics, are they not? At lower levels they aren't as strong as I understand the math. So. What about a Lich idea. Lich already has the abyss version. Why not change up bloodmage with a similar idea? Make the version we have now an endgame model that can be attained IF DESIRED and start bloodmage at 20 with something more suitable for that level?

Does this add complexity? Maybe we could make it a witch thing where all 3 have the abyssal lich treatment fitting with the Lord of the class?

Just an idea. I'm probably wrong. Just thinking about all the new players who go to play bloodmage cuz it's excellent but then find it extremely hard to get used to to beat early bosses..
