about spiritwalker and gemling legionnaire

What's the point of taking the gemling legionnaire as a spellcaster when all the nodes are on the opposite side?
Same for spiritwalker as a only summoner with those funny and giant beasts. All summoner nodes are far enough.
Not mention that for both all native nodes are almost useless for the builds

my favourite one is using blood mage for a bleed damage build and having to path all the way around to the bottom of the tree for damaging ailments lol

for spirit walker they are adding more companion nodes near the starting area so maybe all those companion nodes will be enough to take and dont need to travel up to the top. that would be like 50 travel points. so hopefully the companion nodes will be enough to take
