GGG Chronomancer discussion

I feel like GGG is really trying to make something but they are afraid of giving chronomancer good things and getting COMPLETLY WRONG on what are being complained about so, i hope to make a Topic where Chronomancer theme lovers can actually add information that is CLEAR and the most direct possible.
1-Noone complained that you need use 8 points to get the time stop AND Time snap(ASS node tbh, we dont have enought CD skills to use this shit). now we need to use 8 points to get the only 2 decent nodes, that are TIME FREEZE AND TEMPORAL RIFT 2 - chrono as it is now, looks like its an ascendancy to be safe, but Poe2 its not about going slow and play safe, its about taking risks diving in, trying to use new spells, combo those togeter. and with chorono we get STUCK in the same build over and over and over(LIKE IN A TIME LOOP!) and the main things of those builds get nerfed because they are usefull somewhere else and it gets very strong in there. 3-the list of spells that cna ECHO and the echo actually works - Frost Bomb Ice Nova Snap Comet(always get nerfed, EVERY PATCH, and still used >.>) Detonate Dead Hexblast(noone uses soo clunky GGG Fix our blast) Thrashing vines If anyone can make the cascade list please and if im missing something in here also correct me, no im not adding ice wall or curses cause they just refresh and nothign more, same for firestorm. 4- EVERYONE ELSE uses freeze and its usefull, chrono feels like he wants to go fro freeze or something that makes duration bigger, but it do not work as well as other ascendanci using those unless youre prefreezing for a combo. chrono ailments its ASS Chrono DOT is ASS compared to what others can do with the same mechanics, even chrono having amazing skills like sands of time, time freeze. 5- What I(personally) want to see on chrono... I want to feel like Enemys around me will wither away, with Dots, i want all my spells to have slow/chill effects(the other ascendancy actually do that with low investiment) to be honest the oracle rift thing feels like more a chrono thing than most chrono things. 6-Ideas to work around - 6.1More CD to big skills, we lost the CD for glory for some reason, so we cant mix up anymore(that was a VEEERY low blow and it was not an OP build) 6.2the Comet or CoC are not the problem, halt on nerfs there and give more tools to use spells like comet, GGG please share Firestorm usage with us, curious why we dont see that one around instead of comet!!! 6.3 chrono have too many tools that are not usefull at all or spread too thin, for example on the update.. the 30% hit thing + temporal rift... why that had to happen? its wrong to make a node that instead improving what you have, give you a COMPLETLY new thing that affects the other somehow, that will force people to think they should have both and when they dont have both it will feel incomplete. why not make temporal rift the first node and meke it so it cleanse DOTS instead then you give a thing that create a defensive layer that is the 30% hit later?? that way the character feels complete even if you get only temporal rift(the actual good node that is used to combo with other thigns and the agressive nodes. So those are a few of the many things i would like to say about chrono. i hope more people can make in here, i tryed to be very clear here, sorry if i falied that, let me know down below if so, i can always try again Last bumped on May 25, 2026, 11:42:41 AM

" this. there are no cooldowns in the game long enough to justify me pushing a 37ish second cooldown button to get them back once. most cooldowns are 10 seconds or less. if you're trying to maximize your return on cooldowns, those 10 second cooldowns are going to be closer to 6 seconds. old now and again was better than time snap imo given how short most cooldowns are. " the new now and again is weird. cascade and echo have different restrictions. frost bomb can take cascade, but can't normally take echo because it has a cooldown. so what happens? also it says cascadable spells have a chance to echo and repeatable spells have a chance to repeat, but what spells are repeatable? so far it seems like none of these will apply to the 10 second cooldown spells which makes them all continue to feel bad (edit: though maybe only flameblast will suffer there for being channeled). (edit: also, echoes usually start before the initial cast finishes and frost bomb has a limit, so it kind of forces you into increasing that but you probably would have anyway.) anyway, sands of time to skill speed rather than cast speed was a good and welcome change, but 'increased' area of effect just doesn't feel that great to me because the area of a circle increases faster than its radius and the radius is what makes spell areas feel big. it would feel much more impactful when this swings to area if it were a 'more' buff. inevitable agony should count all damage instead of just hit damage and temporal chains should make it last longer (the same way it makes other debuffs on the target last longer). it feels like chrono lost its identity when glory was added. i still don't feel like it has one, but this definitely feels like we're moving further away from "the class that makes better use o Last edited by drkekyll#1294 on May 25, 2026, 10:44:23 PM
