Martial artist vs Chayula - Lol

Just saw the Martia Artist ascendancy drop and I have to say, this is one of the best ascendancies this game has dropped yet.

Every single notable has insane power, the pathing to get what you want (Runes / Fist gloves are only 2 points each) is also insane.

Well done, I'm definitely starting this, and I'm certain it will be overpowered in the endgame.

However, this does also bring about glaring differences between martial artist and Acolyte of Chayula.

Especially with the leech nerfs / barely and meaningful changes to Chayula, it's not even 10 % as good as this ascendancy. It's slower, lower damage, boring skills, like I can't think of a single thing that's better with Chayula.

For future, please balance all ascendancies around this power level of Martial Artist. Ascendancies should feel cool to take, all notables should be fun just like this one.
I expect Chayula to be less than 1 % played yet again, (Maybe even something as bad as 0.1 %). The balance between classes and ascendancies has always been bad, but this one is a clear example of what the differences can look like.

Honestly it's a bit of this with most Ascendancies/Classes. If your "class fantasy" was delivered early it's probably made far more boring and low power than if you got it later.

How to say that you have no clue where Chonk's power lies without saying that.


1. Sustain nerfs -> Chonk has more methods to do that. Ex. Vigorous and Arcane Remnants. Mana Leech nerf will hurt everyone involved in leech a lot.
2. Darkness is actually decent, you dont understand how its reservation works.
3. Selfless remnants fix -> minion builds and party buffs.

The only objectively BAD Notable Chonk has is Unraveling. It's garbage.
Also, Chayula's Gift should be built-in into The Deepening Shadows, so You don't need to spend 6 points on Darkness. That's all.
