Feedback regarding chronomancer changes: Flavor and accessibility

I think the new direction of the nodes harshly restricts the access to the most interesting skills available to chronomancers.

The new ascendancy nodes are "better" numerically, but are quite boring in practice. Three nodes are effectively more damage: More skill speed, more skill repeats, and a more damage "curse". Another is "less" damage taken.

All of these are super accessible as 2-pointers.

The cool, flavorful skills that people used to play with (Temporal Rift, Time Freeze) have been split to be separate 4-point nodes, whereas before you could have both for 4 points.

Gating both of these these unique skills behind separate 4-point nodes does a disservice to what was previously one of the most flavorful ascendancies.

Worse still, none of the nodes accessible at 2 points is really good for leveling up.

Phase is a bad idea before Rift. The delayed damage will still hit you and prevent shield recovery.

Time snap is not going to be worth it becaue at early game you will not really have cooldowns anyway.

And the other utility spells are also really lack luster early game.
I think you are being a bit harsh on the other 2 points, but I do think this ascendancy is a bit mixed up.

I think the compromise is that freeze + rift should be 6 points. I definitely don’t want rift to be a requirement for freeze again. I’d also rather not see it a requirement for phase because I really like phase. But also time snap probably shouldn’t be a requirement for anything since it’s sort niche build wise and definitely isn’t helpful during leveling.

If it were just up to me, I’d swap freeze and snap and call it day for now, but I know I’m biased against rift.

I think what they really need are better 4 long chains. Put rift and snap on two long chains, then put freeze with something that needs skills effect duration (make that the small passives) on a 4 long chain (maybe inevitability).

Then they need another 4 long chain, which could combine with phased or something else entirely. Hell wouldn’t mind 4 long with sands of time into the new now and again.

GGG is having a hard time to figure out what they want to do with chrono and fear that they make something too cool or strong, so they halt on every step when remaking it, thats my guess

1-Noone complained that you need use 8 points to get the time stop AND Time snap(ASS node tbh, we dont have enought CD skills to use this shit). now we need to use 8 points to get the only 2 decent nodes, that are TIME FREEZE AND TEMPORAL RIFT

2 - chrono as it is now, looks like its an ascendancy to be safe, but Poe2 its not about going slow and play safe, its about taking risks diving in, trying to use new spells, combo those togeter. and with chorono we get STUCK in the same build over and over and over(LIKE IN A TIME LOOP!) and the main things of those builds get nerfed because they are usefull somewhere else and it gets very strong in there.

3-the list of spells that cna ECHO and the echo actually works -
Frost Bomb
Ice Nova
Snap
Comet(always get nerfed, EVERY PATCH, and still used >.>)
Detonate Dead
Hexblast(noone uses soo clunky GGG Fix our blast)
Thrashing vines

If anyone can make the cascade list please and if im missing something in here also correct me, no im not adding ice wall or curses cause they just refresh and nothign more, same for firestorm.

4- EVERYONE ELSE uses freeze and its usefull, chrono feels like he wants to go fro freeze or something that makes duration bigger, but it do not work as well as other ascendanci using those unless youre prefreezing for a combo. chrono ailments its ASS Chrono DOT is ASS compared to what others can do with the same mechanics, even chrono having amazing skills like sands of time, time freeze.

5- What I(personally) want to see on chrono...
I want to feel like Enemys around me will wither away, with Dots, i want all my spells to have slow/chill effects(the other ascendancy actually do that with low investiment) to be honest the oracle rift thing feels like more a chrono thing than most chrono things.

6-Ideas to work around -
6.1More CD to big skills, we lost the CD for glory for some reason, so we cant mix up anymore(that was a VEEERY low blow and it was not an OP build)

6.2the Comet or CoC are not the problem, halt on nerfs there and give more tools to use spells like comet, GGG please share Firestorm usage with us, curious why we dont see that one around instead of comet!!!

6.3 chrono have too many tools that are not usefull at all or spread too thin, for example on the update.. the 30% hit thing + temporal rift... why that had to happen? its wrong to make a node that instead improving what you have, give you a COMPLETLY new thing that affects the other somehow, that will force people to think they should have both and when they dont have both it will feel incomplete. why not make temporal rift the first node and meke it so it cleanse DOTS instead then you give a thing that create a defensive layer that is the 30% hit later?? that way the character feels complete even if you get only temporal rift(the actual good node that is used to combo with other thigns and the agressive nodes.

So those are a few of the many things i would like to say about chrono. i hope more people can make in here, i tryed to be very clear here, sorry if i falied that, let me know down below if so, i can always try again
I've been saying it forever on nearly every post.
Just swap the ascendancy node places.

Temp rift before Phased form.
Time freeze before Time snap.

It makes so much sense.
