Who in their right mind goes "let's delete the loot if a player dies to a dot after boss is dead" during campaign

why you dying is the real question.

" Did you lose some campaign/quest loot that blocked progression, and were you not able to repeat it to get it again? If so, yeah that's bad. Otherwise, I think it's reasonable to give you a gentle tap on the wrist as the cost for dying. Dead people can't usually pick things up...it's pretty sweet that you get a 2nd, and then infinite chances to try again without dying. |

" Basically, the grim tangle boss does lots of dots; it happens to die on last second, after he dies too. Imagine you play monk, aka the worst class to start bc slow+ 0dps, this boss drops a rare quarterstaff, meanwhile you still have a while one because boss loot never consider your class (that is pretty weird like on first boss btw, having a shield or a focus as a ranger or monk is pretty useless :) its like boss giving 0 loot somehow) and poof, you get only the gem, still stuck with white Qstaff. Its all these things that feel just punishing the new player in act1 to be a Dark Soul wannabe, meanwhile its still an Hack N Slash. idk if loot disapear in maps etc but for early acts its very punishing for clearly no purpose except "LOL you die no loot" |

Grimtangle dots comes from the tree branch spouting the purple orbs which can be dodged, this is a you problem.

" if you config is old, game isnt at 60 fps, means like you dont see things a fluently as on a good 3000$ set up, plus some part of the world got very few region to connect, like for south america you got or USA, or Brazil sao paulo, I never had less than 200-250ms, makes delay. but lets pretend 100% players got a 5090, and 5ms living next to the servers, thats very usefull :) |

You daft dummy, nothing in the post says anything about dying during the fight
My problem is that when the boss is dead, the loot has dropped,the loot rollbacks if you die The boss dying animation plays once you enter the arena and doesn't drop anything It's garbage, hopefully an oversight No idea why your bootlicker ass is here with "skill issue" responses |

Have you considered that the existence of this scenario implies that the developers are trying to nudge you to figure out a way to not die to DoTs after you kill a boss?
Or are we just gonna be mad that we discovered that the hard way. ![]() Who am I to say anything, I don't respect my time either.

" I dunno man, my posts have like a 98% rate of being highly critical of GGG and their game design decisions. If you want a Story Mode for the game, just come out and ask directly. I think there would be pretty broad support for it. |
