Any reason for Choronomancer recuop removal?

Like, it was such a fun way to play a melee mage. Recoup was a survivability tool unique for Chrono.
I know you are adding recoup speed to the skill tree, but it's not the same, it was an identity of the Chronomancer and now it's gone. And how many skill points do we need to spend now to have even similar results?

I'm... just sad... playing tanky melee Witch and Sorc was a passion of mine and now I have even less options... I just don't understand the reason, you can't be saying it was overpowered, it was mid as f2ck

I am probs wrong. Recoup does nothing for one shots and it didn't help with degens, the changes increase class fantasy to be more inline with timey stuff and increase survivabilty. The tree changes allow investment into recoup still.

I don't mind recoup nerfed. Path of Exile is a weird game where warriors dies in one blow while wizards face tanks everything. Truly an artistic style.

Enough recoup ignores degens when using scolds. That node was strong, but only with a very specific set of gear, which was sacrosanctum and scolds. You could then use a corrupted midnight belt, get a double recoup amulet, and take a recoup wheel and perma recover hp/mp/es at over 100% of the damage you take. Youll probably still be able to do the same thing, but now it costs more skill points to reach the recoup speed that felt good...at least I assume. We haven't seen all the passives yet.

If they had left the old recoup node with the new delayed punishment node, chrono would be able to have insane survivability. Oneshots were always the downfall for recoup builds, or any build for that matter; but with the new node, it greatly reduced that oneshot chance, so I assume someone could've ended up making a near-immortal chrono build if the old recoup node was left alone.
