Boneshatter when you have too much damage/stun buildup

As it is right now, Boneshatter is a skill that makes you suffer from succeeding, and becomes finnicky real quick. At one point, Boneshatter exclusively becomes a movement skill due to the high attack speed, as one of the only fast attack speed Mace skills in the game.

-If you get stun buildup too high, enemies are never primed for stun.
-If you get too much damage, the same applies, but it can also mean that you casually instakill enemies (and therefore never "cause a Heavy Stun"). Keep in mind, that this can happen even during the campaign (even in the first couple zones), by just happening to get +flat gloves/iron rings or simply a stronger weapon, resulting in your already limited build now requiring you to either not use Boneshatter, or downgrade your equipped gear/supports.

The easiest fix would be to make it so that:
-"... upon causing a Heavy Stun or killing an enemy, creates a shockwave"
-AND to remove the "cannot cause stun buildup" line

There is support gem called "Brink II". If you add that to lets say leapslam, then with high enough damage your leapslam always pushes enemy stun bar to 99% which means you can get shockwaves with boneshatter.
sometime brink doesn't work,

well the real problem for Boneshatter is: you have to wait for that stun light ball coming up, but it's so so so slow, I don't understand the desgin meaning for that slowing coming up, to break down the fast pase?

most playing style is to apply stunII and brinkII to slam then when the lightball coming up, you hit with Boneshatter. but you have to wait...

Not only does it not always work, as someone said already, but there's also the fact that you can very, very easily still instakill white and magic mobs with good gear, rendering Boneshatter a rare or unique-only skill, after which point the main mechanic of Boneshatter (the shockwave AOE, meant for CLEAR), is used single-target rather than for clear.

Then there's the fact that Brink II doesn't fix early game/leaguestart/campaign Boneshatter, you can still easily insta-stun or instakill things, rendering Boneshatter a wasted skillgem. While in endgame, Boneshatter is a travel skill, not used for damage nor clear.

if I may, ther is another one: Cull.

Well.....even if your skill could one shot normal/magic monster or even rare, and that skill is a cull strike benefit, like Killing Palm, you don't get the light ball untill you hit the monster with some damage.

It also happens to Lightning Warp, I don't know how to use that skill.

All these issues are related to the mechanics and system caculations of the game core, which is a pain and hard to revise.

Oh.....there are other many problems.....same way.
guess what, Killing Palm is an AOE Melee Strike skill, till now I don't know which part of this skill is AOE:)

Killing palm makes you cull others nearby, basically acts as a Flicker Strike, but slower + culling.
However this thread is about Boneshatter.
