Weekly Endless Challenge Ladder Inspired by Delve
|
Hi guys,
I had an idea for a new competitive mechanic, somewhat similar to Delve in PoE1 but with ascendency ladder and MTX rewards. The concept is an endless challenge mode based on rooms/encounters. Players progress forward through increasingly difficult stages, with different modifiers affecting each encounter. Dangerous arena modifiers and trial-style similar to Chaos or Sekhema trials, different encounter layouts and objectives I do not think the main focus should be loot. Rewards could be decent, similar to Delve, but without infinite loot scaling beyond a certain depth or level. The real focus would be competition. The most interesting part would be a ladder system. The further a player progresses, the higher their position on the ladder. There could be separate ladders for each class or ascendancy, and maybe also one overall ladder for all players. The challenge could run in weekly cycles. Every 7 days, results are locked in and players receive cosmetic MTX rewards based on their ladder position. For example, the reward could be a hideout decoration or trophy that changes depending on your final placement: Top 1% / 5% / 10% / 30% / 50% This would give players a repeatable competitive goal without making the mechanic mandatory for loot progression. It could also create interesting build diversity, since different classes and ascendancies would compete on their own ladders. What do you think? Would a weekly endless challenge ladder be interesting in PoE? Last bumped on May 21, 2026, 3:33:43 PM
