Escape Shot and Frozen Locus, funny stupid

So I met the boss, fire Escape Shot but always jump back and firing near my foot but not at the Boss', looks very funny like I'm playing acrobat for the Boss.

Also for the Frozen Locus, as I jump back fired a icy flower, then I'm trying to hit it but I'm hitting the Boss instead, leave the ice alone.

These skills need refine...I'm playing with controller.
