Do Totems benefit from Tactician’s “Watch How I Do It” and Banner auras? (Solved)

Hi.

I’m trying to understand how Totems interact with ally-based buffs in PoE 2.

The specific interaction I’m looking at is the Mercenary Tactician node Watch How I Do It, which says that allies in your Presence gain added Attack Damage equal to 25% of your main hand weapon’s damage. Since Totems appear to count as allies, I would expect this to affect them.

However, Totems also seem to use the player’s offensive stats. So I’m unsure whether ally buffs apply directly to the Totem, or only matter if they affect the player first.

The same question applies to Banners. If a Banner aura affects both me and my Totem, does the Totem gain the effect directly, or only indirectly through my own buffed stats? In other words, can this “double dip,” or does the Totem ignore its own offensive buffs because it uses the player’s stats?

I’ve tried testing this myself, but it’s difficult to do accurately. As far as I know, there is no training dummy or controlled testing area, and I can’t clearly verify the damage difference through the menus/tooltips. Trying to test it on normal mobs or bosses by watching damage numbers feels too inconsistent to be reliable.

So my main questions are:

Do Totems benefit directly from ally/aura effects like Watch How I Do It and Banners, or only indirectly through buffs applied to the player?

And if this can be tested in-game, what would be the most reliable way to test it?

Thanks.

EDIT:
It does not work. Totems use your offensive stats. You can test it with a scepter that elemental dmg to allies.
