Inquiry Regarding Chinese Language Support and Cross-Platform Access on PS5
|
Dear Grinding Gear Games Team,
I am currently a PC player of Path of Exile 2 and have been enjoying the game very much. Recently, I have been considering switching to the PS5 version for a different gaming experience. However, I noticed that the Malaysia PlayStation Store does not clearly indicate Chinese language support for the game. I would like to ask whether the Chinese language option is available in-game regardless of the PSN region, or if the available languages are tied to the PlayStation account region/store version. In addition, I am interested in moving to the PS5 platform, but it appears that existing PC players are required to purchase the game again on PlayStation. I understand that different platforms may have separate policies, but I would like to know whether there are any plans in the future to improve cross-platform ownership access for players who already purchased the PC version. Once POE2 early access ends (ETA post-exilecon), you'll be able to play on any platform without having to pay more.
MTX (including stash tabs) are not shared between PS and PC/XBOX. You can blame Sony for that; contract terms aren't public but various leaks over the years say that they demand a significant share of all sales (past and future) from all other platforms to allow that level of crossplay. (I can't answer any of your other questions.) Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, weighing all things in the balance of reason? Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?
