Mercenary Ascendancy Idea — The Warlord

The Huntress can tame bosses/creatures, so it would be cool if Mercenary had its own version of that fantasy through Rogue Exiles.

The Warlord would recruit defeated Rogue Exiles as temporary companions.

Examples:

- Crossbow exiles for suppressive fire
- Marauder exiles charging enemies
- Witch exiles casting spells
- Assassin exiles focusing marked targets
- And much more...

The fantasy would be more of a tactical battlefield commander leading dangerous mercenaries and killers-for-hire.

Could include:

- Recruiting defeated exiles
- Exiles can equip some gear
- When an exile dies, you must recruit another or keep backup exiles enlisted

I think this would fit Mercenary and PoE 2’s dark world really well while feeling very different from normal minion gameplay.
