Casual POV Endgame + Campaign re-roll ideas.

Hey guys,
As a "Campaign Enjoyer", once the skillpoints/gear slows down it's back to the beach to roll a new toon and make a new build. It is more appealing to me to be able to use the over-world map for navigation/points of interest than it is to actually interact with tablets and waystones and optimise routes etc. found in the endgame, BUT all the league mechanics and modifiers ARE fun and most of them don't appear often/at all in the campaign. So for endgame, it would be cool if there was a way to seamlessly do a map then select another map without having to juggle tablets and Waystones or whatever once it's cleared. the atlas screen itself can be overwhelming and also just not that fun for people who just like the gameplay/progression side of the game. The other thing is re-rolling and running the campaign back, as an enjoyer i have no issues with this but there are elements of the endgame that could spice up the 2nd character onward. namely, the Atlas Passive Tree. I'm going to throw out some ideas here. ENDGAME 1. tablet slots in inventory at endgame. - just equip the 3 tablets, maps you go in use these until they run dry then you equip new ones. 2. map device at end of map which offers the next adjacent maps - kill boss, device pops out, select adjacent map and plug in your waystone, do next map. 3. alternative to idea 2, random map select. - prioritising progressing to nearest quest/league mechanic, for those who just really aren't picky. 4. waystones with multiple "charges" - same as they work now, just reusable like tablets for X amount of maps in a row to stretch out gaps between having to roll new ones. CAMPAIGN RE-ROLLS 1. campaign atlas tree once you reach endgame - starting a character after the first would treat the campaign zones as maps instead of just having the league. -- this is probably a ton a work, I have no idea how the existing mechanics get activated/spawned. 2. an endgame atlas tree (like the league trees) for campaign re-rolls. - more stuff (modifiers?) - smaller/bigger map generation bias - scaling? (to a limit per act, of course) - double bosses or other gimmicks? - league mechanics Effectively, more options to not need to fiddle with the atlas overworld map as much and make endgame progress more like its own endless campaign with a hub (your hideout or whatever hub is default) Last edited by Dan_The_Noob#9627 on May 20, 2026, 10:02:14 AM Last bumped on May 20, 2026, 3:16:16 AM
