Interesting ideas for Item Mod Pool
|
Here are some interesting ideas which introduce opportunity cost to the item modifier pool, and even promote loot-targeting strategies for characters in late end-game:
Idea 1) Introduce a new gameplay mechanic: Every time you complete a map, a random currency item is deleted from your stash. The rarer the currency is, the less likely it is to be deleted. In addition, a new item mod in the mod pool to reduce this likelihood. #% reduced currency deletion rate It's not mandatory, as you'll only really be losing a divine every 10 to 15 maps. And it only takes about 150% on gear to reduce the chance of losing this currency to near zero. Idea 2) Introduce a new gameplay mechanic: Currency dropped in your maps have chance to be downgraded to a lower tier of currency. In addition, a new item mod in the mod pool to reduce this likelihood. #% reduced rarity loss It's not mandatory, as you'll only really be losing a divine every 10 to 15 maps. And it only takes about 150% on gear to reduce the chance of losing this currency to near zero. Idea 3) Introduce a new gameplay mechanic: Currency dropped in your maps have chance to be upgraded to a higher tier of currency. In addition, a new item mod in the mod pool to increase this likelihood. #% increased item rarity It's not mandatory, as you'll only really be losing a divine every 10 to 15 maps. And it only takes about 150% on gear to reduce the chance of losing this currency to near zero. Thank you for your consideration. More modifier ideas are in the works. <3 Edit: It has just come to my attention, that mechanic #3 is already in the game. So please ignore that one.
