Gemling Legionnaire
|
As everyone knows, Gemling Legionnaire is not a very strong Ascendancy, and unlike Witch Hunter with Tactician, it is very specific (0.3% of all players on PoeNinja in League 0.4, and many videos on platforms dedicated to this class and why it is *weak* clearly indicate this). Therefore, I would like to request that its properties in the Ascendancy skill tree be strengthened or modified to make it more relevant to other classes and their Ascendancy.
-Adaptive capability is currently the most useless passive skill node in this Ascendancy, and as an alternative, it could be given a new property: *you no longer have any stat requirements* or give us choise *no requirements for items - gems* -this will allow you to use a huge number of builds that don't collect attributes at all, but instead combine suffixes and skill trees into something truly useful, such as resistances or dual-wielding two-handed weapons without penalty/get skill speed on ring and armour with defense suffixes. -Enhanced effectiveness: why is there a 20% reduction in all attributes? This kills a huge number of pure attribute stacker builds on this class. Why not do this: You get 60-80% (or so) more inherent bonuses from attributes, so it won't give you x2 bonuses for health and mana\accuracy, but it won't reduce your stats by an absurd 20%, or add a new passive skill that you can choose between these two-(all stat-based bonuses are increased by 30%, like the *pillar of the caged god* ) -Integrated Efficiency, It is now a mandatory passive skill on many builds, as other skills are too situational or too weak. Moreover, it provides a very weak bonus, while many ascendancy skills provide a x1.5-x2 more damage or survivability: Skills deal 6% more Damage per Connected Red Support Gem Skills have 3% more Skill Speed per Connected Green Support Gem Skills have 5% more Critical damage bonus per Connected Blue Support Gem Or another variation that suggests the maximum number of gems: -You gain 4% increased damage for each red gem on your character -You gain 1% increased action speed for each green gem on your character (up to 35%) -You gain 3% increased critical strike chance for each red gem on your character -Thaumaturgical Dynamism: Every 4 seconds, you get one charge based on the highest number of gems of the same color (If there are two colors of gems with the highest number, we get one of them). This helps to avoid situations where we get an inappropriate charge because we have 50 intelligence even though we have 300 strength. (A small idea for a new passive skill: -The Call of jewels: The effects of your jewels are increased by 60% for blue jewels and 30% for rare jewels.) If you have any other ideas on how to improve ascendancy in this case, it would be great to hear them) ALL! the numbers are approximate in comparison to the strength of the other classes, and I hope ggg will hear us. I hope we'll see more funny reworks/buffs of old characters in 0.5 and 1.0)

Just comparing gemling or WH to the newer ascendencies makes both of them feel like a joke.
Gemling, meet these obtuse requirements to get these midling benefits. Witch Hunter, deal a little more damage and take a little less maybe. I agree buff gemling, but also like rework WH maybe? Its just so bland, it has no 'cool' factor. |

Gemling was designed on a unique principle - can use more than 1 copy of support gems in their skills. This alone gave the ascendancy its attraction and flair. No other can do this.
Then they just removed the restriction completely. Yes, let's just slam faster attacks / faster casting on everything because you'd be an idiot not to. The class lost its main identity. |

I think Gemling is fine the way it is...
