Don't let your teammate turn into the Torchlight contract pet compass

Regarding the idea that adding a teammate can lead to higher drops, which everyone can pick up and even get more than solo play, I have emphasized this many times. Today, I want to bring some slightly different discussions. I saw a discussion elsewhere about the new season of Path of Exile. Many people are not optimistic because the team system mechanics have become a bane of the game. Some even say: now in some loot farming groups, the main C stacks rarity, and damage and survival all rely on the aura specialist. The whole team system is like Torchlight's pet system: the aura specialist is the battle minion, and rarity stacking and team bonuses are the loot minions. Sadly, extremely unbalanced, pay-to-win games like Torchlight are now being compared to Path of Exile. The reason is obvious: after four seasons, everyone has fully recognized the imbalance of the team system—damage increases, luck increases, resistance increases, unique drop bonuses, loot farming mechanics; teams can reach heights that solo players can't. All of this ruins the game's balance. Almost all players have realized this point. Even so, there are still many players who endure unequal treatment and play solo because they don't want to team up all the time, only wanting to team up when necessary, rather than being stuck together for massive drops or one person controlling six accounts for insane looting. Of course, there are also many who have controlled six accounts since the first season and continue to do so this season. Such people are clearly unfair to solo players. Solo players should also receive compensation from the game. Such unequal treatment, in other games, would have already been urgently fixed, with skins given as compensation. ...
