First shipment What did I do wrong?

If I understood correctly from what I had been reading this league sending crops pays equipment and tattoos and sending ore pays currency.

So brought 6 tier 5 shipping workers and sent verisium (100% bonus) and orichalcum (80% bonus), total just over 6M (max amount with 0% risk), to moti aro (think it was that port)
The rewards were 1 body armour, a little low level currency (3 chaos and 1 exalt being the best) and a LOT of tattoos most of which I couldn't even give away using the currency exchange
So did I do something wrong as for 6M+ worth of ore returns seems rather poor? Had read that you should on average get 1 divine for 700,000 ore.

Also as I could only send 6M before upping the risk how do people send 50M?

Moti Aro has minimum 10% risk by default, maybe you lost a chunk of rewards because of that?

I try to always send 50M shipments (25M-30M ores, rest dust) to the red tattoos port, and usually I get a mirror shard, few divines and a lot of smaller currencies. Tattoos are quite good also, because fire resist and block tattoos are expensive.

If you don't need specific tattoos/runegrafts for your build, I'd suggest picking one of the nearest ports, to always have 0% risk. With 6 lvl 5 sailors you have 0% risk when sending 50M shipment to the nearest ports.

Also, don't forget about the dust! If you have 6M ore, make sure you also have 6M dust, to double it's value.

So my understanding / hopes were wrong.
