Event Horizon Interrupts ES Recharge

Has anyone successfully used Event Horizon? It stops your ES regen start timer.
With lots of investment on a Disciple of Varashta, it seems like you can get that timer down to under 0.5 sec. I wonder if that's enough to make it worth while if you also have fast ES regen. Shouldn't it work similar to Lich's Eldritch Empowerment? Last bumped on May 17, 2026, 10:37:42 AM

Because Lich ascendancy specificly says that it "Sacrifices" instead of "lose or remove" it works with Event Horizon. I think that notable is usable if you play non-chaos skill and then use unique like "Original Sin" that converts all elemental damage to chaos damage. But havent tested it myself. Okay, it working with conversion makes sense. You could also use it with Blackflame Covenant Keystone. I see now that it's not totally a dead notable.
Is the "sacrificing energy shield does not interrupt recharge" part of Eldritch Empowerment unique to Lich only? Or is it there just for clarity and any sacrifice does NOT interrupt energy shield recharge as opposed to losing which does interrupt? If it's not unique to Eldritch Empowerment, and any sacrifice does not interrupt recharge, should Event Horizon be changed to sacrifice instead of lose? If it is unique to Eldritch Empowerment, would changing it to sacrifice instead of lose be too overpowered for Lich ascendency? |
