Rarity Alternatives GO!

Lets see your best ideas for mods to replace rarity!
Im pretty sure they dont wana just drag n drop a random mod into the mod pool or they would have done this already they want somthing like rarity where you can invest into it to alter loot without being combat related. My idea is a mod called Consumption where the more you get, the higher the chance is that when you kill a mob instead of loot droping a cool animation happens n you get a boost of xp equal to what would have dropped.(assign xp values to items based on rarity) What you guys got? It is possible they already have something behind the scenes that does this. If I engage with a difficult rare with its own mini machanic, kind of like the mini bosses in some of the acts, I would like to be rewarded based on something I could see or influence for that pack/ map etc etc.

One of the main reasons they didn't took rarity away yet is that they want something else to replace it, so my suggestions are:
Replace rarity with an affix for sockets It seems that there are going to be 3000 socketables in the game now (the majority are useless i'm sure, like the difference between lesser, regular and greater runes) but it seems that's how they want to introduce more build customization Another suggestion is to reduce the maximum number of mods on items from 6 to 5, and you need to choose between more prefixes or more suffixes This would require some balance changes ofc, i don't think it's good when you need deflection or "armor apply to ele" as suffixes when ES doesn't need that, these mods compete with resistances and aren't present in most uniques, also, we can't even swap resistances like we can in poe 1 Light radius is also another mod that needs to go, this is literally just vestige at this point, the next gen ARPG couldn't think of anything more innovative or interesting than that? |

I think the main problem is that rarity increases currency drops. They could just make it not do that and effect items only.
