swapping ascendancies is a 100% no,

the goal of a mage / cast is for them to be extremely weak in the beginning, and the player has to overcome these lower levels to become strong at higher levels,

ascendancy swapping players just choose an op low level ascend, and then swap later.

totally, lame.

takes away from the achievement of hitting those high levels on classes like the assassin and, infernalist.

then dont switch, simple, right?

But they're not. It's super easy to level any caster.
