PoE 2 but with a Helldivers twist
|
What if the endgame of PoE2 was like Helldivers live service style?
You had the Atlas and you would be fighting the corruption in some areas, explored some areas for currency resources that would become available based on "progression" (you could still have some areas as permanent available, and this other areas as extras with flavour) and while the maps would always have some extra content you could become "invaded" in some areas by the factions of the breach demons, expedition's undead, abyss's green demons etc What if instead of seasons you would have an intensity increase of specific factions, discoveries in areas that would create a mechanic for a while (for example if you discovered the temple, and during the "season" you would be playing and learning it and at the end its been funny deciphered and now has changed to static thing you now know how to find, explore and conquer) What if instead of nuking and nerfing you would have flavour added to it, if Xesht has tapped a great amount of magic in results of his invasion last season and in the new season he has affected certain stats (he cast some magic that would affect the quality of mana you could gather for the energy shield for example). What if loot was meaningful, what if uniques were treated as uniques with flavour, same as before lets say that Xesht has shattered the Astramentis amulet and its no longer usable but next season a master blacksmith you encounter in some place during the current season and bring back to your camp has been able to reforge it, but it now has different stats (balacing with flavour) What if vendors actually had low grade but good items so new people could use them as a catch-up mechanic until they can join the larger more advanced group. Just some two cents. Last bumped on May 15, 2026, 5:59:58 AM
