Ideas to Address the Armor ES issue

TLDR:
Keystone: "you cannot regenerate energy from regeneration" recover energy shield equal to 3.5%-4% of your armor per second _______________________ Issue: as already stated by GGG, armor ES has a death rate 4x the other classes this makes sense simple because how the two play-styles interact. while pure EV ES or AR obviously work ( sans may some issue with pure EV) and its easy to tell why armor EV and EV ES go together the fact is using an armor build properly means leeching life and using your hp pool as a resource, where as ES wants you to "not get hit" so it can recharge. the issue this makes it once your in a bossfight or some other prolonged duration of combat. you GOING to get hit... and that means your ES is flat out not going to recharge at all unless you completely leave combat. due to this being extremely common when mapping and especially endgame boss fight.. its VERY easy just have zero ES for the rest of the fight and because of this... getting 1 shot i from skill is very common zealots oath and scarred faith were both supposed to provide and alternate option however.. they both SUCK.. like verybadly scared faith is so much of a joke its barly worth discussing.. only coup physical damage. ok so no ES recovery at all unless i get hit... then minimal amounts and it has to be physical... thats horrendous and for zealots oath. well regen on gear is just too low to make it work you need at least 300 life per second to be remotely usable nd is day 500-600 would be ideal. you can use things like concentrated ground and the % life per second on spirit gem supports but even with all that and going out of your way to get a morrior invictus.. with 5 sockets on a max life regen roll. its still too damn low ____________________________________ Ideas: So what are some ideas? well in a similar manner to both zealots oath and scarred faith.. and taking into account a druid wants to build but armor and ES how about something along the lines of the following idea 1: "you cannot regenerate energy from regeneration" recover energy shield equal to 3.5%-4% of your armor per second issues with idea 1: its hard to make the number work with any sort of scaling. from other passive nodes without breaking it.. going above 5% is absurdly op.. and going below 3% is way too low to be viable. it feels like it would be weaker in campaign than in endgame. because its much easier to get higher armor endgame idea 2: i forgot it i'll write it out when i remember it i just want to get this posted Issues with idea 2 ________ i hereby waive all legal rights to this if is implemented, belong solely to GGG for the duration to remains in the game. if said idea is not added or removed from the game, rights to this idea revert to my name i just want a better game Last edited by SwiftKitten#3681 on May 14, 2026, 9:08:38 PM Last bumped on May 14, 2026, 9:03:14 PM
