Multi companions puts minions in a wierd spot

Companion definition from the game:

"Companions are a type of Reviving Minion that are more complex and powerful than typical Minions. By default you can only have one Companion of any type summoned at a time."

Wolf pack skill: gives up to 7 wolves

Cackling companions skill: gives up to 9 hyenas

Azmerian wolf skill + its scepter: gives the zoo keeper shit seen in the most recent showcase of the spirit walker

How are any of these "more complex and powerful" reviving minions allowed to be stacked af if they were a normal minion build.

Wasnt the point of "a" companion to be a single powerful monster for the right side of the tree.

Not mad, just confused.

Companions cant really be stacked as well since they need a percentage of your spirit, except wolf pack that is.
Hyenas force a certain unique afaik, and the zookeeper build kind of does that aswell, since you need the scepter for multiple companions. I think companions were intended as an addition for certain builds either as supportive minion for your build, or you both act as damage dealer - have not seen many builds like that actually happen. I still hope for more support for a single companion as addition to some builds and actually improving them, the investment of 30% spirit for some haste aura doesnt seem too good to me with all the strong spirit skills there are.

And normal minions still are the only really scalable minion type, since they work with increased spirit AND reservation efficiency. The amount of companions probably cant really go over 4-5 (+free ones from equipment/ascendancy) even with insane gear, cause there is just so much reservation efficiency to get. Further, since companions scale with minion mods, its always possible to make a mixed build.

Also, wolf pack and hyenas kinda fit as companions thematically if you just say that your smth like the pact leader, while minions are like necromancer summons that just follow your orders (-> minion command skills)

you do know that companions take 50 percent of your total spirit.. thats like almost half. and its PERCENTAGE. so if you got 200 spirit its 100 for 1 companion. bro the fk ?

I mean 50% of something is always half, not almost half, but ok. Also it depends on the companion, some go as low as 24%, thats already 4 companions with the scepter before any reservation efficiency.
However its besides the point, If companions are meant to occupy the niche of a single strong minion, having multiple off them seems wrong.

So Id say my point still stands.
